Baseball Recap: Bear River Falls Short of Ridgeline in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bear River can now relate to. They fell just short of the Ridgeline Riverhawks by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bears have suffered since March 28th.

Chipper Hawes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Ethan Higgs, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

This is the second loss in a row for Bear River and nudges their season record down to 19-9. As for Ridgeline, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Bear River nor Ridgeline have any future games scheduled.
