Baseball Recap: Denver West Comes Up Short

Denver West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Arvada Bulldogs, falling 16-4. The Cowboys were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Denver West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Quinonez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Sebastian Guerrero also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Denver West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Arvada, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Denver West will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alameda at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. Arvada also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on March 26th.
