Softball Recap: Jay Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Jay had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Pace on Friday. Jay blew past Pace 17-6. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Mylee Frazier was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carleigh Baker, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Jay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pace only posted an OBP of .419.

Jay pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Pace, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Jay didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against Central on the 31st. As for Pace, they will head out to challenge Navarre at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pace's pitchers better be ready for this one: Navarre has averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
