Baseball Recap: Southwestern Has No Trouble Against North Greene

Southwestern not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24th (when they won 6-0). They blew past the North Greene Spartans 8-2. The win continues a trend for the Piasa Birds in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Ian Brantley was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Southwestern's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for North Greene, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwestern will welcome Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Greene, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seymour at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
