Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton

Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Lanesboro Burros by a score of 72-59. Given Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Lanesboro is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Lanesboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton will venture away from home to take on LeRoy-Ostrander at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lanesboro, they are taking a road trip to square off against Kingsland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
