Baseball Game Preview: Tipton Blue Devils vs. Hamilton Heights Huskies

For the second straight game, Tipton will face off against Hamilton Heights. The Blue Devils will face off against the Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Tipton needed a bit of extra time to put away Hamilton Heights. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies, sneaking past 8-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Hamilton Heights' part, Nick Hulen put in work no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest earned runs Hulen has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Luke Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was P.J. Wright, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hamilton Heights is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Tipton, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7.
