Softball Recap: Southridge Comes Up Short

Southridge scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 17-6 to the Varela Vipers. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Vipers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Southridge's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Varela, the win snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southridge will face off against Braddock at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varela, they are taking a road trip to face off against Coral Park at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
