Volleyball Recap: Western Reserve Wins Going Away Against Springfield

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mineral Ridge, Western Reserve was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Springfield Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Tigers back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

While Western Reserve won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-20.

Chloeigh Endsley paced Western Reserve's offense, picking up 12 kills. Endsley got some help from Ava Baker and her 11 assists. Endsley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Western Reserve has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Springfield, they moved to 14-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. After both having extra time off, Western Reserve and Badger will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mogadore at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
