Basketball Recap: Chief Leschi Gets the Win

Chief Leschi proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 39) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-30 win over the Evergreen Lutheran Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since January 20, 2024.

Chief Leschi's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Evergreen Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 7-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chief Leschi will take on Ilwaco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evergreen Lutheran, they will face off against Crosspoint Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
