Football Recap: Amistad Comes Up Short at Home Against O'brien RVT

Amistad unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 24-14 to the O'Brien RVT Condors on Thursday.

O'Brien RVT's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Colon, who rushed for 34 yards and one score, and also threw for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes. The Condors' leading receiver Austin Fernandes was Colon's top target yet again, picking up 65 receiving yards and one TD.

Amistad has already played their next contest, a 51-0 defeat against Bacon Academy/Lyman Memorial on the 20th. As for O'Brien RVT, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 26-13 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 19th.
