Softball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Takes a Loss

Notre Dame Academy might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was University Liggett who claimed the real prize. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 6-5.

Jaylynn Baldwin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Ogrodowski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Notre Dame Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for University Liggett, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

While Notre Dame Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
