Volleyball Game Preview: Nipomo Titans vs. Santa Ynez Pirates + How To Watch

Nipomo is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Santa Ynez is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Titans will host the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Ynez took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nipomo, who comes in off a win.

Nipomo will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Paso Robles, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Titans put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

While Nipomo won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 26-24.

Nipomo can attribute much of their success to Emily Rubalcava, who had ten digs and two assists. That's the most assists Rubalcava has posted over her last six matches.

Meanwhile, Santa Ynez came up short against San Luis Obispo on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Santa Ynez was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-14.

Santa Ynez's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Nipomo, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
