Basketball Recap: Keystone Wildcats vs. Columbia Raiders

After flying high against Clearview last Wednesday, Keystone came back down to earth. The Keystone Wildcats were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 51-50 to the Columbia Raiders. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 51-38.

Columbia was led to victory by Kaitlyn Miller and Bree Heidecker. Miller went 11 for 24 on her way to 21 points and three steals, while Heidecker made all 6 shots she took racking up 13 points. That's the most points Miller has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Goebel, who posted six points and six boards.

Keystone's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 18-2. As for Columbia, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.
