Goodland has gone 9-1 against Lakin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cowboys will welcome the Broncs at 3:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Goodland didn't have quite enough to beat Ulysses and fell 8-7.

Dani Fisher stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoebe Nachtigall, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lakin unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Sublette by a score of 9-8.

Sara Martinez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Luna Vazquez, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Goodland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Lakin, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Goodland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lakin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Goodland took their victory against Lakin in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Cowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
