Football Recap: Horizon Takes a Loss

Horizon had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it four. They were dealt a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Erie Tigers. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Horizon had strong showings from Xavier Hill, who rushed for 91 yards, and Chayce Hansen, who picked up 57 receiving yards and one touchdown.

As for Erie, their record now sits at 6-4. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by 27 points or more so far this season.

The critical scores for Erie came from Jack Arnold, Owen Collard, Tommy Thiesen, and Lincoln Hageman.

Horizon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Erie, they will square off against Regis Jesuit at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.11 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
