Football Recap: Kofa Takes a Loss

Kofa extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-6. They came up short against the Cibola Raiders, falling 41-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Kings of the 45-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Although Kofa took the loss, they still got scores from Nigel Escalante and Julian Cruz.

As for Cibola, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Considering they have won four contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Marques Montague continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries, while also picking up 46 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Damian Camarillo, who picked up 78 receiving yards and one score.

Coming up, Kofa will welcome Yuma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cibola, they are taking a road trip to take on Gila Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
