Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. McClintock Chargers

The Mountain Pointe Pride are taking a road trip to face off against the McClintock Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Pointe will be strutting in after a victory while McClintock will be coming in after a loss.

While Mountain Pointe's win against Notre Dame Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pride skirted past the Saints 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pride as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, McClintock entered their contest against Arizona College Prep on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Knights.

While McClintock was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-18.

McClintock's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Mountain Pointe, their win bumped their record up to 3-14.

Mountain Pointe beat McClintock 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Do the Pride have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
