Volleyball Recap: Herlong's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Herlong had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Elk Creek on Monday. The Vikings blew past the Elks 3-0. The Vikings not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 23, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Bria Stokesberry paced Herlong's offense, picking up two kills. Stokesberry also shared the team's lead in assists with Sativa Rodriguez: they picked up two each. Rodriguez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Serenity Hulsey, each putting up four.

Herlong's win ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9. As for Elk Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Herlong and Elk Creek will both be playing Paradise Adventist Academy the next time they take the court. The Elks will host the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Vikings will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
