Nevada Union had lost seven games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-13-1 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 13-10 win over the Del Campo Cougars. The Miners' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Jessica Rivenes made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 6.1 innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cheyanne Painter was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
