Cornwall Central won the last time they faced Washingtonville and things went their way on Monday too. The Dragons put the hurt on the Wizards with a sharp 15-3 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 12 runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Cornwall Central and bumps their season record up to 5-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Washingtonville, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Cornwall Central will face off against Goshen Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gladiators have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Washingtonville, they will head out to face off against Minisink Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Wizards surely won't give up without a fight.
