Sherman is a perfect 5-0 against Greenville since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Sherman Bearcats duke it out with Greenville Lions at 7:30 p.m. Sherman is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Sherman came up short against North Lamar and fell 5-1.

Sherman got a good showing from Adan Ortiz, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.

On the hitting side, Sherman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Gutierrez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Gutierrez hit this season.

Meanwhile, Greenville suffered their biggest defeat since March 22, 2024 last Friday. They came up short against Melissa, falling 20-5. The Lions have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Sherman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14-1.

Sherman came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will Sherman repeat their success, or does Greenville has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
