Volleyball Game Preview: Noxapater Tigers vs. Riverside Bulldogs

The Noxapater Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Riverside Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Noxapater will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Grace Christian, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Riverside posted their closest victory since August 14th on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Leflore County 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Riverside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 15-9.

Noxapater's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
