Basketball Game Preview: Morton Indians vs. Plains Cowboys

Morton hasn't had much luck against Plains recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Morton Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Plains Cowboys at 6:15 p.m.

Morton is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Smyer and fell 70-14. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1328th, while the Bobcats are ranked 489th).

Meanwhile, Plains waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They skirted past the Roughnecks 40-37. That's two games straight that the Cowboys have won by exactly three points.

Plains' victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. As for Morton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.

Morton was dealt a bruising 55-21 defeat at the hands of Plains when the teams last played on January 3rd. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Morton was down 33-9.
