Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Shannon Red Raiders
The Walnut Wildcats will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Shannon Red Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Walnut unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 57-41 bruising from Middleton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Walnut has scored all season.
Meanwhile, even though Potts Camp scored an imposing 62 points on Thursday, Shannon still came out on top. Shannon secured a 66-62 W over Potts Camp. The win made it back-to-back wins for Shannon.
Walnut's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Shannon, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
