Basketball Game Preview: Vidalia Indians vs. Toombs County Bulldogs

The Vidalia Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Toombs County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Vidalia earned a 57-49 win over Woodville-Tompkins. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Wolverines are ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dublin typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Toombs County proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 46-42 W over the Fighting Irish. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Vidalia is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Toombs County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Vidalia didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Toombs County when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vidalia since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
