Football Recap: Chincoteague Takes a Loss

Chincoteague fell victim to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Knights 46-0. The loss continues a trend for the Ponies in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

JDarius Davis threw for 26 yards on four of nine attempts. Camaury Davis was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brian Bodman, who threw for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 34 yards and one score. Jonmichael Lee was another key player, gaining 125 total yards and three touchdowns.

Chincoteague's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Chincoteague will be playing at home against Rappahannock County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
