Leland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Gardner-South Wilmington.

Leland was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18.

Leland now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8.
