Football Recap: Tonasket Tigers vs. Cascade Kodiaks

Tonasket was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 28-14 to the Cascade Kodiaks. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kodiaks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Although Tonasket took the loss, they still got scores from Kevin Polito and Colton Wilson.

Tonasket wouldn't let Cascade keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Tonasket can thank Gerardo Hernandez and Joel Wilson for forcing both of them.

It was another big night for Will Biebesheimer, who threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards for Cascade. Another player making a difference was Artie Northrup, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Tonasket's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cascade, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Tonasket will host Okanogan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Okanogan will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Tonasket surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cascade, they will venture away from home to challenge Brewster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cascade is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.7 points per game this season.
