Football Recap: Pueblo South Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Pueblo South unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Mead Mavericks and fell 42-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Caeden Herrera threw for 81 yards on ten of 19 attempts. Landen Cordova was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards. On the ground, Chace Hurley rushed for 31 yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pueblo South will head out to take on Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Mead, they will face off against Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
