Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Pine Hills Adventist's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Mountain View Academy came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Pine Hills Adventist, but Tyler Gatling wouldn't allow it. The Pine Hills Adventist Eagles walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Mountain View Academy Mustangs on Thursday thanks in part to Gatling, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Luke Childers, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Pine Hills Adventist is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Mountain View Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Pine Hills Adventist Eagles take on the Forest Lake Christian Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Mountain View Academy has already played their next game (against Pescadero), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
