Basketball Recap: Titus Murrell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Veritas Christian Academy over Duchesne

Veritas Christian Academy was the 72-45 winner over Duchesne when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Veritas Christian Academy Eagles took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Duchesne Pioneers on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Veritas Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Titus Murrell, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Jake Markham was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Veritas Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Duchesne, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-15.

As of now, neither Veritas Christian Academy nor Duchesne have any future games scheduled.
