Basketball Recap: River Ridge Sets Scoring Season-High Against Southwestern

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Albany/Monticello, River Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-38 win over the Southwestern Wildcats. The Timberwolves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

River Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Southwestern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Ridge will host Potosi/Cassville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwestern, they will be playing at home against Darlington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Darlington has three straight victories, Southwestern has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
