Basketball Recap: White County Beats Stone Memorial for Their Third Straight Victory

White County extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Tripp Pinion. The White County Warriors came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 62-56 W against the Stone Memorial Panthers thanks in part to Pinion, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

Another player making a difference was Lucas Dickerson, who posted eight points. What's more, he also racked up two boards, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Stone Memorial lost on Tuesday, don't look at Cade Capps. Despite the final result, he went 13-for-25 on his way to 32 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Capps is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last 28 games he's played dating back to last season. Briggs Lowe was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

White County's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Stone Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.

White County has already played their next match, a 73-54 win against Cumberland County on the 7th. As for Stone Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-55 victory against Livingston Academy on the 7th.
