It was a good run, but Fountain Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Los Altos Conquerors by a score of 72-69. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Barons have suffered since January 24th.

Fountain Valley's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2. As for Los Altos, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Fountain Valley and Los Altos should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Fountain Valley (ranked 68th) will meet Edison (ranked 248th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Los Altos will square off against Wilson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday up 510 places (177 vs. 687).
