Volleyball Recap: Salem Academy Comes Up Short

Salem Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Caldwell Academy Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-9.

Stella Streng was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six digs and six aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Salem Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Caldwell Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.

Salem Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Caldwell Academy, they will challenge Westchester Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
