Corona del Mar is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Estancia a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Corona del Mar Sea Kings will look to defend their home field against the Estancia Eagles at 3:15 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Corona del Mar's offense. They came up short against Fountain Valley on Tuesday, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Sea Kings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Corona del Mar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiera Madan, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Estancia also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 15-0 to La Quinta on Friday.

Estancia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Corona del Mar, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Corona del Mar has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Estancia struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
