Softball Recap: St. Joseph Spartans vs. Serra Catholic Eagles

St. Joseph had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-7 to make it six. They came up short against the Serra Catholic Eagles, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

As for Serra Catholic, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-5. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Serra Catholic's part, Giana Foster made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
