The Blake Yellow Jackets will square off against the Boca Ciega Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Blake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Blake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Chamberlain 99-60. The Yellow Jackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Blake can attribute much of their success to Joshua Lewis, who dropped a triple-double with 21 points, ten boards, and ten assists, and Joe Philon, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. Philon has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Marion Ward was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine assists.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Blake was working as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Boca Ciega earned a 56-48 victory over Dunedin on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.
Boca Ciega's win came from a few key players Blake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Robert Harris, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 15 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Brown, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.
Blake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points over those games. As for Boca Ciega, their record is now 17-10.
Blake skirted past Boca Ciega 49-46 in their previous matchup back in February of 2021. Will Blake repeat their success, or does Boca Ciega have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
