Soccer Game Preview: Coronado vs. Monterey

Coronado hasn't had much luck against Monterey recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home pitch against the Plainsmen at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Coronado is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 7-0 to Dumas on Friday.

Meanwhile, Monterey and Randall finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Coronado suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Monterey in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
