Crofton piles up the points against Bridgeport

Recap: Crofton Warriors vs. Bridgeport Bulldogs

The Crofton Warriors had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to Bridgeport for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-34 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Crofton sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Wyatt Tramp had a dynamite game for Crofton, rushing for 216 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Steffen, who rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.

Bridgeport's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nikolas Weibert, who rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns, and Gage Nein who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Crofton pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.44 points. As for Bridgeport, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Crofton will face off against Elkhorn Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Elkhorn Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Bridgeport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
