Mercy and Sheehan are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tigers will square off against the Titans at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mercy will bounce into Monday's game after beating North Haven, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Nighthawks a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The matchup marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Sheehan beat Guilford 9-6 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Sheehan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Mercy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Mercy couldn't quite finish off Sheehan in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
