Basketball Game Recap: Mecklenburg County Phoenix vs. Hopewell Blue Devils

On Tuesday, Mecklenburg County had to suffer through a rough 76-26 loss at the hands of Hopewell.

Leading Hopewell to victory were April Winfield and Erin Edmonds (17hav). Winfield dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Edmonds (17hav) scored 24 points along with 9 assists and 8 steals. Another player making a difference was Keeniya Kelly, who scored 17 points along with 5 steals.

Mecklenburg County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hopewell, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
