Football Recap: Lakeside Lutheran Warriors vs. Lake Mills L-Cats
Lakeside Lutheran couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 21-12 to the Lake Mills L-Cats on Saturday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the L-Cats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Loss or not, Lakeside Lutheran got some senior leadership from Issiah Sampson and Kaycee Guzman. Sampson rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while Guzman. rushed for 102 yards.
Lakeside Lutheran is taking a road trip to take on Lake Country Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside Lutheran is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Lake Mills, they will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
