Soccer Game Preview: Walsingham Academy vs. Norfolk Academy

Walsingham Academy hasn't had much luck against Norfolk Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Walsingham Academy Trojans will host the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Norfolk Academy will be up against a hot Walsingham Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Walsingham Academy was the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Peninsula Catholic on Tuesday. With the Trojans ahead 4-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Academy kept a clean sheet against Christchurch School on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Seahorses with a sharp 5-0 win. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

They hit Christchurch School with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Maria Delyannis (2), Summer Fine, Adeline Scott, and Alex Marino.

Norfolk Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Walsingham Academy, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.

Walsingham Academy might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Norfolk Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Walsingham Academy was down 3-0.
