It was a good run, but Idalou unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Shallowater Mustangs by a score of 60-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since December 12, 2024.

Idalou's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-11. As for Shallowater, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Idalou will square off against Littlefield at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Idalou knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Littlefield likes a good challenge. As for Shallowater, they will take on Muleshoe at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
