Soccer Recap: Beaufort Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Beaufort and Bluffton, and Bluffton kept the tradition alive. The Beaufort Eagles fell just short of the Bluffton Bobcats by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Beaufort's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bluffton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Beaufort will face off against Colleton County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaufort is facing Colleton County at the right time seeing as Colleton County is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bluffton, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Hilton Head Island at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilton Head Island's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
