After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centerville, Wayne was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Springfield Wildcats, sneaking past 53-50. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Wayne's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Springfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wayne will head out to take on Springboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Springfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Thurgood Marshall at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
