Baseball Game Preview: Westminster Lions vs. Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Westminster will face off against Godinez Fundamental. The Lions will take on the Grizzlies at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Westminster's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Godinez Fundamental by a score of 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jordan Solis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Derek Hernandez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Westminster back to even at 5-5-1. As for Godinez Fundamental, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9.
