Volleyball Recap: Coastal Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Coastal Christian lost against Topsail back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Centurions came up short against the Pirates, falling 3-0.

Coastal Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 26-24.

Paige Moyer paced Coastal Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Moyer got some help from Baylor Everette and her 30 assists. Moyer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Eliza Greene, racking up two apiece.

Leading Topsail to victory were Sydney King and Hannah Losey. King had five digs and three aces, while Losey had 22 assists and six digs.

Coastal Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for Topsail, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coastal Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Southeastern HomeSchool on the 15th. As for Topsail, they will head out to face off against D.H. Conley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
