Basketball Recap: Matthew Sroda's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Seminole Ridge over Forest Hill

Seminole Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 41-32 to the Forest Hill Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-42 back in November of 2024.

Seminole Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Sroda, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Garrett Rimes, who posted two points and five steals.

Seminole Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Forest Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Seminole Ridge will head out on the road to square off against Somerset Academy - Canyons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest Hill, they will square off against Santaluces at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
